The Board of Directors of the Fund retains advisory powers for any and all grants made from the Fund. All grants from the Boardman Schools Fund must be consistent with one or more of the following principles:

  • Promoting educational research and programs
  • Providing educational facilities
  • Providing tuition grants
  • Supporting the capital needs of the school district
  • General school district operating support under limited circumstances as solely determined by the Board of Directors
Grant Purpose
The Boardman Schools fund is operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes focusing on the 3 A's of excellence-Academics, Arts and Athletics. The Board of Directors of the Fund has advisory powers for any and all grants made from the Fund. The Boardman Schools Fund exists solely to effectively assist and promote the well being of the students and families of the Boardman Local School District.

General Grant Criteria
  • The Boardman Schools Fund will operate in a manner supportive of equal opportunity objectives.
  • Those seeking grants should have clearly defined objectives and should be reasonable capable of achieving them.
  • An organization or individual seeking a grant should champion objectives and programs supportive of the overall goals of the Boardman Schools.
  • The organization or individual seeking a grant should have demonstrated by past accomplishment an ability to successfully implement programs.
  • The proposed activity should not needlessly duplicate other activities or programs already in place in the school district.
  • A grant recipient must provide a written report on the use of the granted funds, on results and the extent to which objectives have been achieved. Such a report must be provided within six months of completing the grant process.
